Kate and Abby, affectionately known as “Greer” and “Little Greer”, were born and raised in London, Ontario, Canada. Both graduates from the University of Western Ontario (Environmental Management and Clothing & Textile Design respectively), the girls were constantly in search of a “get rich quick” scheme.

The idea of a “shared sister” business had been on the radar screen for some time, but finding a marketable product and/or service, and then a new angle to launch it from, was proving difficult. That is until one day, when Kate was admiring some handbags Abby had designed and assembled. All of a sudden the clouds parted, the skies cleared and a doozy of an idea came into her head – simply harness Abby’s natural talent and ride it all the way to the bank (yee-haw!). A short while later, Kate - the less gifted of the pair - had convinced her sister to open a sweatshop in their parent’s basement and start making custom ordered purses. And so the story begins…

All joking aside, we’re very excited about this new opportunity ahead. It allows us to spend “quality” time together doing some of our favourite things…..designing, detailing, and delivering. Being fastidious consumers ourselves, our goal is to provide customers with trendy, yet practical, high quality products at a reasonable price (without losing any fingers or disowning one another in the process).

In October of 2006 (fingers and sisterly relationship intact), we moved from the basement to a retail location in the burbs of London - Lambeth. A range of unique and trendy fashion accessories now complement the GG custom handbags. Our location provides a pleasant setting to browse through the various purse styles and fabric sample to create the perfect handbag fashion statement.
